Dance, dance under the rain!

 *

*

I stop the music and place my headset on my desk,

Putting an end to the rhythmical but fabricated melody

I look out the window and gaze at the surrounding

The sky has poured its perfect blessing

Yes, rain, rain, rain!

*

Oh, the sound it lashes out is so rhythmical,

And the energy it unleashes is so powerful

*

The rain’s beauty lies in its non-fabricated melody

As it is composed by Mother Nature with pure honesty

*

So I take off my shoes and run out

Closing my eyes, I feel myself is roiling in excitement

When the rain touches my skin

And caresses my soul

*

Suddenly I start swaying in gaiety

I dance under the rain

*

Come, my friends, join me!

Dancing under the rain is a delicate beauty!

  1. Aloha, Subhan! This is my most favorite among your masterpieces. It’s just so stunningly beautiful. And it absolutely reflect the beautiful person in you! Happy New Year, my friend! Take care always! = )

    1. Yeah, this is my new baby, actually. = ) Well, my plan is just to write at least once a month now. Email me the instructions. I wouldn’t mind subscribing through email. = )

  2. Gorgeous! When I was a kid living in Florida, I loved when it started to storm when we were swimming and the feel of the rain hitting the water. Of course, we couldn’t stay in the water long because of the lightning safety issues, but it was a beautiful experience. 🙂

  3. Hello dear Subhan :))

  6. Absolutely beautiful. You cause nature to take on music as symphony. Wonderful! Tonight here I listen to the high winds buffeting against my house. Yet another type of music but more in the drum section. Take care Subhan!

  7. Aww! Such a sweet sweet poem. It was really beautiful. The rhyming was amazing – my favorite part of the poem. It had a good flow, and the vocab usage was really good. The emotion is portrayed brilliantly. An excellent job! Keep it up!

  8. I love dancing out in a summer rainstorm. Thanks for reminding me of that moment. 🙂

  9. Hi and Happy New Year, all the best for 2013.
Beautiful prose, yes the rhythms of Mother Nature are the best beats, the best sounds and if you listen to them with the ears of your heart, you will dance.
    Ciao,
    Patricia

  10. Your poems are so beautiful. I wish for the rain. Now the ground is white with snow. Soon we are expecting some rain, unusual for now but preferred to the cold and the snow. The sound of snow is actually quite Zen but I do love the sound of rain on the roof just over the room where I sleep. Thank you for resubscribing. It is always good to read your poetry. It is so amazing. jk

Me personally…..I l-o-v-e dancing in the rain! It’s been a little while since I have done it. Not really something you break out in the DC metro area. Hahaha But the next time it rains and is warm….I am taking a walk….and then we’ll see what happens. Hahaha

    1. HI Subhan,

Def do it! Just go for it:)
I think that the Guardian is a good place for the poem:)
and as you know we are all amazing creative people and believing in what we make and do will make things happen sooner or later 🙂

  12. beautiful words, let’s dance in the rain, could you see the rainbow calling our souls to happiness and love ! wonderful year 2013 ! many blessings to you !

  13. Hi Subhan, happy new year and thank you for these beautiful words. It was too cold to go out and dance in the rain here, but It has finally stopped raining so I walked out in the garden now and the peace and calm reached down and touched me like a cool hand; a perfect moment, like a slow dance with the night.

    Once upon a time…
NurKasih..the little girl, who lived down the lane..a true story..
Those were the days..and I miss being that little girl…
This posting reminds me of those days of doing such acts..which will look ridiculous to practice now..hehe

  15. This so wonderfully captures a love for rain and Nature, and it reflects my own fondness for rain as well, so I’m happy to strongly relate to the joy here. And it reminds me it’s been some time I had a nice walk in the rain, I should grab one the next chance I get.

  16. thanks for stopping by my blog Subhan! I love the reminder in this poem that rain is delicate. I always heard it that way as a little girl – not always now as an adult because I am now the one driving the van and handing over the car keys to my sons!

  20. Dancing in the rain is so much fun. Since I was a child I am the one who usually heads outside when the rain comes instead of running inside. However, the rain has to be a warm one.
