Friends,
Which of these poems do you like best? And why?
I have three Teh Sari Wangi packages up for grabs. So wherever you are currently-based, if you comment on this, you have the chance to be one of the three lucky people who will get a Teh Sari Wangi package. For free!
Joking? No. Seriously.
Come, let’s make it fun!
#PS: Comments are closed on 30 October 2012 . Three best comments will be chosen and the winners will be notified through email. Best comments are not necessarily the ones with compliment, but could be ones who highlight how the poem has personal meanings for them or well-resonates to their life. And if you would like to point out any other aspects of interest, please do so. If you win, please allow 2-3 weeks for a safe and free shipping from Canberra, Australia, to your house.

Subhan, no prize is as precious as the work you have created and shared =)
You have given your readers quite a tough choice to make…I feel divided among them all but “Don’t You Fear the Unknown” is what speaks to me in a way that will last throughout my lifetime and is best remembered when the unknown throws me into melancholic and anxious doubts…so in a way your work is also words to live by…to survive by…and to see the light that always is there if we only choose to see it =)
Hi Queridaj,

It’s so hard to choose. I love all six poems. But if it comes down to one, I choose A Fleeting Moment of Surprise. I love how the words dance around on the surface on my thoughts, teasingly and gently, pretty much like the gorgeous last line “the way sunshine amuses itself on water.”, before bringing me deeper.
Oh, Cik Abdul Halim. Thank you very much for your kind words. You are one generous soul. I hope my upcoming poems are not disappointing. Many blessings and much love to you.

I have read the two I have yet to comment on. I can not pick a favorite. Because you, your light soul is poured into each and every one. I can only momentarily drink. Rest from dancing and bask in the words that you choose as gifts to inspire those who are willing to be blessed.
As writers. as poets – we can only hope that someone will read something we write. Comments and compliments are nice. But the true treasure is in the lasting friendships that are created and the strengthening of the invisible webs of humanity.
Cheers, my friend, cheers and blessings to you.
That is true, Jules. I couldn’t agree more. Thank you very much for being in the community and for sharing the light you have within. The world is a much better place with the light you ignite.
Many blessings and much love to you.

Hi Subhan! Great to read all of them! The best one for me was “don’t you fear the unknown”!
Very well described the fear we have within at every moment at any stage for anything ,which we haven’t seen or apprehend for! The way you defined it as just a one with absence of light! It gives a whole new meaning to the line! The one who has darkness inside, one who is till ignorant, one who is unaware of the light that is eternal shall always fear.
So the question Dont u fear the unknown is like asking you do you exist?
for every verse of yours speaks of HIM,
every prose you write sings about his glorious themes,
To fear the unknown you haven’t learnt,
for HE dwells in your heart since eternal…
Thank you very much for your comment, Soumyav. It is wonderfully written. I am archiving your comments now, so thank you again for participating. Many blessings and much love to you.

Yes, but by the time the package arrives here in California, the tea will be cold!
I liked the Fleeting Moment of Surprise the best, although they’re all good.
Thank you very much for commenting, Bumba. I actually wanted to send it as a Tea Package, so no need to be cold, hehe.
Thank you again, many blessings and much love to you.

I like the poem “A Fleeting Moment of Surprise”. When I read the poem, I felt transported in a serene place – somewhere near nature. As I read, I can feel the rustling of the leaves and the cool breeze; it’s like sitting in a comfortable place and enjoying Mother Earth’s gifts to human. Then suddenly, like a dream, there was this instant realization, an awareness that wasn’t there before. I like it.

Subhan, I like ‘Dance, Dance Under The Rain’… I could see and ‘feel’ it. As a child I used to love to go outside when it rained to put my bare feet into clear puddles of water… it felt delicious, it felt wonderful… it felt heavenly.
